Feral Felines

Stray cats are often seen. The problem is people never spay or neuter their cats. Say a un-spayed female escapes from a house and happens to come across an un-neutered tom,
Boom kittens. In only seven years a female cat and her offspring may produce more than an estimated 420,000 young! There are too many cats and not enough homes so the cats unlucky enough to get adopted are humanely euthanized. More than 8 million cats and dogs each year are put down in the United States. When people say it doesn't matter if you fix your animal they're wrong, dead wrong.

Cats and Dogs

Due to contrary belief the cat and dog are often portrayed as mortal enemies. While a dog will give chase to a cat, usually the cause is that the hunting instinct had been triggered, not because they hate cats. Any animal introduced at a young age to another animal will most likely accept that animal and create a strong social tie with it. The same works for cats and dogs.

Curiosity Killed The Cat

If you have ever heard the saying "curiosity killed the cat" that is the truth. While some cats may seem lazy, the average cat will be inquisitive about a new object. A kitten will show more interest than an older cat,though. Cats learn at an early age about the world around them, and that knowledge usually stays with them for the rest of their lives. So an older cat may not be as curious than a younger cat because they may have seen,heard,or smelled the object of curiosity before or something of a similar nature.

Cat Nature

I personally admire cats for their inquisitive intellect and their indomitable nature. Cats are considered as wild animals. While we have domesticated the dog, the cat remains wild and free in the eyes of men.
